Writer of fiction and non-fiction, Alicia Drake strives to explore the loss and longing of growing up and growing old, female grief and loss.
Her first novel, I love you too much is a coming of age novel set in Sarkozy period Paris. Paul is an adolescent boy adrift in a world of Rive Gauche privilege and neglect. Before that, she wrote The Beautiful Fall, a book of narrative nonfiction about Paris fashion and creativity in the 1970s. She is working on her second novel, which is a tale of institutional abuse told by the women it impacted.
